Digital Local Agenda Awareness Raising Workshop

The workshop is a part of common initiative launched by UNITAR and CIFAL Bilbao after having organizing the II World Summit of Cities and Local Authorities on the Information Society (Bilbao Summit) in Bilbao, Spain, which was held in November 2005. During the Summit, local authorities issued a “Political Declaration” and “Bilbao Action Plan” which set out the implementation of Digital Local Agenda as one of the main goals of the cities' development. The “Political Declaration” was handed over to the Secretary – General of the United Nations and submitted to the Tunis Summit (World Summit of the Information Society) as a contribution of local authorities.
